I just bought myself the 100 icon add-on thingy for my lj and now I get to subject you all to the mad, mad creations I will produce when I'm feeling a little less apathetic to produce them! WOO hah! I got y'all in check ( Read more... )

Yeah, I'm one of those cursed "people sometimes drift away for me" types myself. Some SF studmuffin I am.

Ewe the greatest. Baa!

Aw, do you wooly mean that? I think you're just flocking with me.

flocking seems to result in other people not being able to see your entries on friends' pages, whatever that means.

LJ maintainance forever!

You know, this is what I'm talking about. How retarded can LJ be? They utitilize things nobody gives a shit about and that are indeed annoying (I'm looking at you, nudge feature) and bugger up things we actually use. I'm half-convinced it's been taken over by the Bush Administration...

I also get frustrated by the fragility of Internet social lives.

And what's up with LJ that I've missed?

Yeah, it sucks when you gain a rapport for whatever reason that rapport dissipates. But whaddya gonna do?

It's just that LJ is getting increasingly frustrating for me with all the unnecessary changes and bugs and failed uploading of updates and general inconvenience. I see more and more people i.e. good writers leaving for Greatest Journal and I find myself wanting to follow. Like the elves, I hear the internet seas calling and one day I shall answer.

Yeah, way to destroy your business, LJ. Woo! I'm still half-hopeful that they'll listen to their users and lay off the crack soon.

It's one thing if it remained an exclusively free service, then they can do whatever, but what about us paid users? We're basically...giving them money to be screwed? How US Government of them.

It's hard to get used to the business of being e friends with people but after a while the rules, such as they are, become clear.

I have a few e friends who crossed over into actual friends but even there I'm aware our predominant connection is our shared love of teh internets, and our friendships rely on broadband.

Love the Lollerskates icon! Having 100 icons to play with is fab.

In the rare event e-friendships cross over into your real life, it's a beautiful thang. But it's wise not to rely on it.

Thanks, I love my lollerskates! I also love to create things so this 100 icon capability is pretty damn exciting.

I know what ya mean with the whole online friend hing, i've lost contact with so many people over the past 10 years..
And hell I've lost a fair number of lj friends since I've been here too..(As you know already ;] )

Ohh since you now have 100 icons, here are a few I found on the net during one of my random searches for icon ideas, and figured you may like them;]

WONDER WOMAN ICONSES OMG! Thank you! I've already uploaded the spang one (which is my favorite) and evil glee. I figured one animated wonder woman was enough without overdoing it and the girl power one is much to...spice girls. Thanks again, those are verily awesome!

Psst! Word on the street is GJ gives peeps 2,000 (yes, TWO THOUSAND) icons and 1,000 pictures for your photo album for free. Doesn't get much better than free. Just a thought. ;)

yeh i thought you may like a few of them, I found them amoung a bunch of other icons recently ;]

yeh I did look at GJ not long ago. I only actually came to LJ as a good friend of mine has been here years. 2000 icons is much better than the 15 I have now hehe ;]

Maybe I'll just copy most of my journal over and see what happens, and just do duplicate posts.

Hmm that would mean even less of a life than I have now...

That's probably what I'll end up doing, minus the duplicate posts. It will be one journal or the other for me as I'm not ambitious.
