Because the wellsprings of creativity have dried up for me 'lo this past week--indeed I have lost the wherewithal to write at all--I'm going to leave it up to you, my esteemed LJ friends, to provide this entry's content. No need to thank me, I am known to demonstrate random acts of unselfishness now and again ( Read more... )

Speaking of laundry detergent, do you think that "Cheer Free" should more properly be called "Cheerless?"

1.) Sense of humor and storytelling

2.) My laziness. I'd probably have 3 bestsellers by now if I wasn't so adept at the art of doing nothing.

3.) Very fondly, of course. Isn't that right, LJ? *hovers over defriend button*

What's your favorite "Fuck off and die and get out of my way I need comfort food!!!" comfort food? Is it tiring to rock so damn hard? You, me, jacuzzi?

Good ol' soul food. Chicken, mashed potatoes, greens, yams, fried fish, chitlins. Lots of ice cream. I'm not kidding either. I REALLY love me some chitlins.

And I'm a city girl, I can't explain it.

Dude, it's a blessing and a curse being me. But fortunately for y'all, I've been spending vast amounts of time languidly lounging around the house lately, so my beauty rest is at optimum levels.

Mmmmm. Jacuzzi. I'll bring the Bacardi. We'll have us an ol' fashioned gossipy, uncharitable gabfest.

There is nothing wrong with chitlins, and I'll stomp the face of any mofo that dares to say different. I'm forcing my roommate to get some fried chicken as we speak, and I'm starting up the macaroni and cheese. With ham. Mmmmm.

Bacardi? Excellent. I'll dredge up as much gossipy muck as I can. And I'll bring limes.

Hi, my friend! How did you meet Pineapple, and did you swoon upon doing so?

Oh, forgot to tell you. Soon after we started dating I got into a cataclysmic fight with my boss, shouted at him that I "FUCKING QUIT, YOU COCKSUCKER!" and out I walked. Problem solved--no more dating of co-worker! :D

Awww! Thanks for taking the time to tell me that story! A boxing cat--hysterical!

At the same club on the same night. Some things are not coincidences.

I see in your info that you have a teen-aged son, but you never really speak of him in your journal. How's come?

Also, what's it like working in a strip club, aside from the crazy stipper stories you tell? Is it pretty much just like any other job ?

Question the First: I've always been leery of Internet predators. I mean, I'm fine with sharing somewhat personal info about myself because, you know, just try victimizing ME, asshole. My son, however, is a different matter entirely. He's 17 now and well able to handle himself, I think, but that protective instinct never goes away in mothers. The good ones, anyway. I don't know. I just have a thing about "exposing" my kid to these shark-infested waters. I never said I was logical.

Question the Second: It is like any other job in that I have to be there every day. Ha-ha. As with any department dealing with mounds of paperwork and loads of cash, it can be very stressful.

However, because it is a strip club environment, my bosses are much more irreverant and laid back than, say, a boss in a bank. They're so used to putting up with wack-ass strippers that when they see someone like me who works very hard and is dependable, why, I pretty much get away with murder.

(I never take advantage of this leeway, though. Damn you, work ethics!)

Hmm I can understand not wanting to expose your son to the stalker-friendly world we live in.

And I could only imagine how stressful dealing with all that money is..
