death is relief. You no longer have to think. Yes, your thoughts will be over but you will be in the state of bliss that existed before you were brought into consciousness...or so i lead myself to believe. I struggle with this concept myself but alas, does it matter if we know we will find out eventually and we cannot know any sooner than that?

In a way, It's hard comprehend infinity. But also, in a way, it isn't.

As long as you can accept the fact that the universe/time is infinity - then you wont worry. If you try and think of a begining point to time then youll think to yourself "what was before that?" ... or by trying to say that the universe ends somewhere... whats outside of where it ends? your mind already grasps it - you're just having trouble accepting it...

we're just human ... personaly my view on humanity is that we, as humans, arent supposed to know until the time comes for us to...

relax - have a beer - thats what lifes all about

(P.S. nevermind the spelling/grammar errors - im fucked up on cold meds right now)

So you understand that you gained consciousness, but can't comprehend how you could lose it? I don't even understand what you're struggling with here. It seems pretty clear to me. You lose it as easily as you gained it, just like anything else in life. From dust, to dust, as you might say. How does believing in God "console" you about this, and what do you even need to be "consoled" about? Just the fear of death, of not existing, of not being conscious? You've done it for eons before, I'm sure you can do it again. Don't be such a baby. Think of all the billions that have died before you, you can't really think death is so bad that all those people could do it, but you can't? Does God console you because you think you will exist forever in a paradise? Does that make you feel better about death, because you get to avoid it? Seems pretty silly and childish to me. What's the nature of this paradise? What makes it so great? Wouldn't you get bored of being there for E-T-E-R-N-I-T-Y? What evidence is there that it exists? Isn't it convenient ( ... )
