I appreciate you saying that; even though you and I both aren't too well-traveled I do consider you to have a good worldly perspective (in other words you've got a good head on your shoulders, so to speak) and you certainly haven't had it easy during your time here but you've got the good sense to know not to blame any misfortunes on your city, which is what I'm trying to encourage.
Absolutely. Tampa isn't a city that bares its pleasures openly; you have to carve out your own good time and if you're not willing then you're going to have an unpleasant experience. It isn't New York or Chicago and you shouldn't expect it to be.
i mean there are way different places, with friendlier people, lower prices, and way more fun to be had but those things lose their shine after like a year or more of living wherever that is probably. i mean its all relative, right? except for lower prices.
and i say that only after having used google mapstreet veiw for about an hour looking at all the places i'd spent precious time at in pasco-hernando-pinellas
Yeah, I absolutely agree. I just don't like it when people leave here and talk endlessly about how they aren't going to miss it and fuck-this-town and etc. It's not so much an issue about what one place has versus another as it is about respect, especially towards those who are still here. And you're right too about things losing their charm; I meet people all the time who just moved here from smaller towns up north and when I talk about getting out of there they look at me like I'm crazy.
