Okay first of all, what i write in my OWN JOURNAL is what I THINK; that doesn't mean that it's fact. People need to understand that it was just an opinion. Okay, if you are going to say shit on my LJ have the balls to put your name on it, if not, then don't bother leaving a comment at all. Also where the hell do you get the right to tell me what i can and cannot say, i did not address my comment to the whole world, i put it on my personal journal. I am "musically mature" to understand what they were playing, but that doesnt mean i have to enjoy it. You may be "musically mature" but seriously i don't think you enjoy every single thing you hear, yet you still think you're "musically mature" seriously rethink what you're saying before you throw some shit back at me!

Now, it's just best that sometimes opinions stay private. There's no reason to degrade their performance. Watkins tells us again and again not to say stuff like that for a reason- they try just as hard or even harder than we do and deserve to be recognized for it. It just sucks to have someone talk about how much your performance "sucked" when you pour your heart into it.

All im saying is there will be a day when KM beats us, and I definitely don't want them to have any reason to take revenge and make us feel like crap. Let's all just get along!

I'm sure you would be mad if you had seen Nick saying the same things about us. I know I would be.

And I'm not mad (Marcus said you thought I was?), it's just it would be MUCH better if Lassiter didn't come off that way.

Woo, sorry for that- kinda long, just needed to say how I felt about the whole thing.

no one has a problem with the fact that you posted your opinion - it's yours and that's perfectly cool. the problem with it is that people know you as a *lassiter* band member, and when you put something like that up on a public website (it's personal but still public), many people, like nick obviously, take it as a representation of what lassiter believes. so yes you def. have freedom of speech, but you still have to be careful about how you wield that power.

no matter what personal opinions are, lassiter tries to be a band that supports everyone, because no matter what the outcome, we all worked hard. so just be careful what you post, especially when it's negative, because obviously, people read and take seriously what you write.

i hope you can tell this isn't intended to be a harsh lecture or anything, just maybe a reminder of what i think you probably know already.

I think that it's been clearly pointed out to you, Nick, that Briana is a person at Lassiter, not "people at Lassiter." Please don't take hers to be everyone's opinion, as she does not speak for the whole band.

Our band supports yours and we hope that the feeling is mutual.

I couldn't agree more. This is Chris, tenor sax at LHS and was in your band at all-state nick. Briana, you're completely entitled to your opinions...but talk to Sam Aumann about what you shouldn't put online in public forum. Your opinion is your opinion, but never, NEVER, but a criticism of one of our neighbors in the same entry about anything including our band or our school, this is not what we represent. WE (not you, not me), have been a strong band for 20+ years now because we are a unit, don't try to stand out and defend yourself, we won't back you up. I'm not pissed at you (as i've heard you think a lot of people are), i just want you to think before you rant next time. And nick, i also apologize for her, you guys (especially the woodwinds, maybe i'm biased!) sounded amazing.

There is a mutual respect/support-system between Kennesaw Mountain and Lassiter (there has been for quite a while). I don't take Briana's opinion to represent that of the entire Lassiter High School Band, but all it takes is one sour berry to destroy the whole bunch. Trust me, we've been there...it's not a fun place to be. But needless to say, there are no hard feelings.

I feel like i never get to talk to you..you are always away..but i can't talk..cause sometimes i'm not even on! lol Well i just wanted to say HEY!! Yeah I'm most likely going to FSU.
But I got this thing about touring Europe in an orcestra for most of the summer.
Which would be so much better than FSU.
If my mom wasn't such a paranoid cheap bitch and would let me go.

Okay, i never said the anonymous comment was from you..i was making a general statement. so i don't need to "study my HTMLs" Seriously, i do not see why you are making a HUGE deal outta this. It was just a comment that if you were confident in yourself and know that everything someone says on a personal post is all most always just an opinion, never fact then we wouldn't be going through all of this. I do not see why you are blowing this up into this HUGH deal..seriously, stop pitching a fit over something that only one person says. There is no need to carry this out if you are just going to bitch about it and attack me about something i said. In hind sight i kinda wish i didn't say or at least kept it private..but theres nothing i can do about it now..so we should just let it go. So, please just stop leaving these comments on my LJ because its really not worth it.

Usually when a person states their personal opinion it most likely isn’t true; just an observation. I guess i shouldn't have used the word "never" but if you think about it the observation is simply that, an observation, not fact or truth. Yet, I’m still just a little confused by how much energy people are putting into something that cannot be changed. I apologized and that's all I can do.
