Farewell to the Succah
It was, as always, really nice, although each time I do it I remember why I don't manage it every year. Had some very nice gatherings in the not-too-cold fall evenings, with discussions ranging from lofty to less-so to listen-to-the-silence, all of which were sweet.

Sukkah!
A trip to Home Despot netted 8 two-by-fours, 4 joist hangers, and a box of 1 1/2 inch nails. After an afternoon of work, I now have the framework for a sukkah in my back yard. This week I'll be adding walls, branches on top, and of course decor. I'm hoping that guests will visit throughout the holiday, which starts friday night and lasts a week ( Read more... ) -
