i thought of you exactly one billion times this week. i can only remember two of them. so you can make up the other onebillionminustwo times.
1) my absolutely brilliant teacher who puts me in awe with everything that comes out of his mouth gave me the only A's in the class on two papers i wrote. and told me he liked my originality and i have very good ideas. and it reminded me of when your teacher told you you were clever. and i thought about how we're obviously better than everyone else at writing. and how we were obviously the smartest ones in french. and how we were obviously the only smart ones in journalism.
2) mrs. merkling came into denny's with her family. and i acted like i didn't see her. and thought about how many times we stabbed her. and how badly i wish that were true.
and i missed you. and got angry that we're not friends anymore.
and then i went online and typed the most gigantic comment you've ever seen.
and then got mad that it wasn't summer. and missed you some more.
I miss you a lot. Hey you can write to me anytime. I have many of the same feelings you have! there are a few things that help me feel not so crazy, like hikes and meditation and jack kerouac. have you ever read Dharma Bums? I'm just getting into it. Sometimes I still feel crazy, but I'm less anxious about it. More, I dunno grateful for the inventive, spontaneous, random interruptions that occur in the monotony of everyday tasks. Life's so much better when you slip into the craziness. Let it move you. I like the way you brainstorm. And your setting of goals. You have a beautiful soul my dear.
