(Announcement to All Students)

Alright Greenhorns!

Given the improvement I've seen with all of you, you may all resume your daily exercises with sparring. Don't think I won't outlaw it again if you jackasses try to use it as an excuse to get in actual fights... I'll be watching.

I trust you've all been staying within the rules ( Read more... )

The one next to your sentence...

Sounds like I need a different form of punishment then.

Sir, isn't it kind of stupid to let them even mock fight when it could result in them actually fighting?

I'm hoping that they can be mature enough not to get that far. If they can't, then they'll be punished.

Sir, how can Prefects help keep student violence and fights down if they can just say they're sparring instead? It's hindering our duty.

You should be able to tell the difference between a spar and a fight. Look for bruises and use some observation. It's not hard.

Hey, hey, can I spar with a gun?

If you want to live in Azkaban, go ahead.

So I can kick people in the ribs and punch them in the face but I can't shoot them with rubber bullets and pistol whip?

No, you can't do either.

Sorry, sir, but I see no difference between a fight and a spar. Students can still get injured either way, and I see most of them just using "sparring" as an excuse to fight and escape detention.

I'm afraid I do see a difference.

Sparring is controlled, and usually any injuries that result from such a thing are minor.

A fight is two people trying to do as much damage to each other as possible.

The difference is obvious and that's why I'm able to tell who's been fighting and who's been sparring.

You might be able to tell the difference, sir, but some of the students cannot.

Then bring the inquiry to me.

Understood sir, and ...thanks for talking me down earlier.

I'll keep a watch out...and on Mugen.

No problem. I trust you dealt with the situation in a controlled manner?

Thank you.

By the way... Are the rumors I'm hearing true?

I didn't rearrange her face if that's what you mean.

Rumours?

Good. You've got a pretty clean record this year so far. I'm hoping we can keep it that way till the end.

Rumours about you being engaged...
