The funniest moment of tonight's Art Brut show was when Eddie Argos stopped the band in the middle of "Emily Kane" and gave a lecture about how we "shouldn't listen to people in bands, unless it's the Mountain Goats or Jonathan Richman."  Sound advice, Eddie. Sound advice.

Now I have that un-singing bastard's song stuck in my head. Thanks.

Did they do the song where he talks about how that really is his singing voice?

yes! it was spectacular. he also told us that we had to form bands, and if we didn't do it by the next time he came to the Black Cat, he would be very dissappointed in us. and then if we still hadn't the next time after that, he would attempt to beat us up. and it would be embarrassing for both of us.

They did that song.

Yes, unfortunately, that is his singing voice.

It's not irony.

It's not rock and roll.
