Ran into Margo at a grocery store yesterday, practically walked into each other. It was terribly awkward and neither one of us said a word, for a second I thought she was going to hit me. We both just walked away. I think its just understood that theres no point, its been almost 2 years now and whats done is done. Not like speaking again is going to do either of us any good and I dont feel like explaining anything to her. But man I really didnt need to see her.
Eh, that sucks. Being jarred like that can throw you completely off, heh, I know one time I knocked on an office door and my ex unexpectedly opened it and we were both like 'eee,' and that was when we worked at the same place and could basically count on bumping into each other a couple times a day.
The worse is the friendly "hey", accompanied with a friendly wave like you are on good terms... damn, I hate that. That happened in the movies... what were the fucking chances of that. I think it's some sort of "Curse of the Ex"
From personal experience, I would say the worst is working with your ex AND her new boyfriend and having to see them being coupley at company events. All while pretending to be friends still.
You win that one. Also watching some frat boy moving into your girl while she plays completely oblivious to it and calls it "harmless", then she burns you for being "overly protective", yet in the end, you are right.
