Thank you.

I see you added a Tom Robbins quote. He's my favorite. Jitterbug Perfume is my very favorite TR novel and favorite book in the world.

Tom Robbins always write things which make me think. I haven't fully read JP yet, but when I'm done with Angels & Demons, I plan to reopen that vault.

I much agree with you.

I remember when I was in therapy with a group of 6 girls (all of us having eating issues), and this one girl, heavily bulimic, kept saying to the therapist that she thought her problems were not worthy of 'help' compared to what people in Africa were going through.

While I understood her sentiment - the therapist said, and I agreed, that this was still a massive problem for her, and needed to be looked at, and also, was as worthy of 'help' as other problems.

Sure, complaining about a late train - that is not suffering compared to some of the world's hectic problems, but we should not forget that suffering is all about perspective - I much agree with you.

(got your email btw, and hadn't even noticed! - but had noticed the same posts by her that you were referring to, I understood fully all)..

Yeah, I remember you saying something like that before. Of course there is large scale suffering that needs attention and can sometimes be a catalyst for helping people remember what really matters [to them] in life. But it's a dangerous move to discount what may be perceived as small suffering. I see all kinds of suffering in the course of ONE day when I go from work to my 'trauma' job/school.

I decided to go ahead and make it public, because I stand firmly by what I have said. I think this post is my way of saying, things are not always as they seem. We shouldn't be quick to judge...

Love you....and thanks as always for being a true friend.

They had to bust their asses out there. That snow was so damn deep. And, it just stopped snowing about 2 hours ago. I think it's heading your way :(

We only have about 6 inches so far- thanks a lot! We have a lot more coming, but it doesn't mean much to me. I'm snowed in during a time I am really sick, so it works I guess. Damn Michigan!

:) Thanks to you and my sweet Roger...

How is the snow in Scarsdale, love? I was going to sled up there to the Glick mansion, but I'm stuck with the flu, so yeah...I can catch up on Dan Brown. It's only taken me a year to read it.

Maybe Mano and his little wife will be snowed in for the rest of the year?!

There is about 8 inches or so for now. I am just sitting here printing out the semesters reading for my feminist film theory class. Thats how it is. Oh and listening to my iPod. Wonderful thing... Who is Mano? And what is he doing with a wife? Is this Roger's Mano? I AM SO CONFUSED.

Keep on truckin and feel better soon. Lots of love and hugs being sent your way...
