. . . Stories... Which kinds do you like? I know of a few.

Anything really. I'll be happy with any kind of story.

I haven't been reading much since I've came here, but... What do you think about taking turns? I'd love to hear the stories form where you came from, too.

Sure, I think we can do that. Mind starting out?

All right, hm... I had a friend back home who wrote his own story, actually. [there's a distinct beat as she pauses in memory.] Have you ever heard of "The Pink Alligator"?

[She breathes in deeply before continuing.] The main character as you guessed it is the pink alligator. He had a friend -- his only friend, his best friend -- the bird. They were really happy together for the longest time, but one day, [. . .] the alligator made a mistake.
[Her tone takes a noticeable drop, as if trying to add to the story.] ... He ate his friend on accident.

... Mm. The alligator felt really bad -- and he wanted to punish himself by forsaking his own happiness. The story was about to end there, too.

... but it was a children's book, so naturally it couldn't end with a hanger like that. In the end, the alligator tried to live his life to the fullest -- for both himself and the bird. He truly did feel bad, and his friend wouldn't have wanted him to be upset for the rest of his life.
It's a simple story, but the moral was outlined really clearly.

I haven't seen it since he first handed me the complete manuscript. I'll definitely take look sometime though, because who knows? Maybe books from the future make their way in here too. Luceti's surprising like that.

[A small pause before Ginia laughs quietly.]
I suppose it's my turn to offer a story.
