I will say this:

I have some wonderful friends: some wonderful old friends, and some wonderful new ones too. A huge thanks to everyone who calmed me down, cheered me up, and made me think ahead to tomorrow. And I appreciate that more than you know.

Never in the span of 30 minutes have I gone from being really excited (about a wonderful person!) to feeling so rejected and sad and pissed....and basically low. I am not in the Onegin chorus. I worked my ASS off this summer paying money to go sing, and spent the first part of this year being told how MUCH I had improved ( Read more... )

I am so excited right now--so much is going right, in things that have never gone right before, but I am not going to say anything about it for fear of jinxing a good thing.

1. There are leafblowers everywhere on campus today, that keep blowing the leaves up and around, but not anywhere in particular. I would much rather look at pretty leaves on the ground than have the dirt and dust and grime blown all over me and into my nose and eyes, which is causing me to water, run, and throb in allergic retaliation. Does anyone have some good tips for alleviating/eradicating massive bouts of insomnia. For the past week, I have cut down my caffeine level (less than last year's by 1/2 already), drank chamomile tea (or just sipped hot water with a little lemon juice) and played stress free, relaxing music *before* bed...listening to music while I am trying to ( Read more... )

I am feeling unneccessarily stressed out lately. A part of it, I'm sure, is due to anxiety regarding the opera chorus for Eugene Onegin. I think I am getting a cold, which just can't happen. So I have broken out the sick tea, the good non-mentholated throat drops, and the Emergen-C. Boo to sickness.

And P.S. I think I am going to be Jessica Rabbit for Halloween. I've always wanted a long red dress to sing in, anyway. So it'll be two for the price of one. Thoughts/ideas?
