Finally got around to it...
I've pruned my FL some. I've removed all the "no longer users" people and groups, and removed some people that I don't really know terribly well. I don't comment on their posts and they don't comment on mine, or they just don't post period, or they're friends of friends (that I'm not really friends with the first person anymore ( Read more... ) -

My dad died about 5 PM today. I'm heading to Michigan first thing in the morning.

Been MIA this week...
My father has been tentatively diagnosed with renal cancer, and had his left kidney and spleen removed on Tuesday afternoon. I've been in Michigan since Monday night, and I expect I'll be here for a while yet ( Read more... ) -

Pottery update
Today was my annual pilgrimage to Kentucky Mudworks ( http://www.kentuckymudworks.com ) for clay. I bought 25 lbs of Standard #295 (raku with Kyanite) and #119 (cone 10 stoneware), which will fire to a more buff shade than the class clay we get from EKU (which is Standard #259). I'm posting these pottery posts as public because I'm too lazy to start a whole new LJ just for my ceramics stuff... =)
So yesterday was class #1 for session #1 this winter. I hadn't done any work at all in a little over a year, so I was definitely rusty around the edges.
