I read on the cover of Time magazine that the polar ice caps are melting faster than expected.
That bummed me out.
Then I read that the Mayan calender, along w/ the Mayan elders, insist that the world will not END on 2012.
That cheered me up.
As they say: "Don't tread on hope!"

I cannot sleep because my roommate snores too loudly.
Sometimes, the capacity for human hearing is frustrating.
It's loud enough to keep me awake, but not enough to awaken him.
Unfortunatly, I have no other alternative sleeping places at the moment.
Alas! More afternoon naps seem imminent.
