People are stupid, letting someone's medical conditions make them uncomfortable. It's not like anything you have is contagious, no one is going to get sick being around you, you're NOT a leper. Stupid people can let things like CF, deafness, Cerebral palsy, Downs Syndrome, or mitochondrial diseases get in the way of meeting some truly amazing and wonderful people. I have friends with all of these afflictions, through no fault of their own, just genetic flukes, and all they want is to be treated like any normal person. Honestly, Nick, unless you're in hospital or have the IV or something, I usually forget you're sick. And it doesn't matter to me. I just worry when you really get ill.

I'm really sorry that happened. People are such idiots! Honestly, when you were here in FL, I never once thought "sick guy" (whatever that means anyway). I just thought you were this really cool, awesome person who is everything I look for in a friend. I just can't even imagine how anybody could be so motivated by fear and discomfort that they could see you as anything else. You're a really great guy, and anybody who takes the time to talk to you can see that. For everybody else, screw em. I know that's easier said than done, but just try to hang on to the good people and ignore the ignorant. They're not worth your time.

Miss you guys!!

Nick, you are one of the most amazing people I know. I don't understand how anyone could view you as a freak. I was so worried when I saw you with it when I came back for the school year. I just hope you're alright. You're like a big brother to me, and I wanted to tell YOU how much I appreciate your concerns.
