A lot of people (including me) have commented that "next year has got to be better than this last one." Hopefully that is true, but at the same time it makes me smile to see so many people on my friend's list sharing the accomplishments that went RIGHT this past year. Live Journal has decided that I apparently don't need notifications when someone replies to one of my posts. I know I've seen others have that problem before. Does it resolve itself or is there a setting I need to go into somewhere and jiggery-poke? -
Doctor Who Treasure Trove!
So upstairs I have a guest bedroom that has an antique chest in it that hasn't been opened for at least 15 years. I had this vague idea that it contained my father's WWII medals, a few old quilts and maybe some old paperwork - including a dozen Doctor Who magazines from the 80s. On Vacation with the Cat
Sally (points to icon) had to have surgery today and the vet sent us to the best Veterinary hospital in this region of the country - 200 miles away. So one sleepy person and one sleepy cat crawled out of bed at 4:00 am to make the trek here.
