J is just an amazing, awesome person. Her intelligence is intimidating to me, and I pretty much never, ever say that about anyone, ever. She is just a thinking, feeling machine and it's rare to see her level of smarts and level of empathy all smushed into one person. I didn't know it was possible.

Also, she has cool hair. <3

This woman is made of love and skewers and all sorts of depths and peaks and curves and excellence. She is definitely a friend I cherish, even if my dearth of spoonage means I'm terrible at emoting this.

I love your intelligence and your passion for issues that are important to you. You have a gift for communication, and you frequently post articles and ideas that make me think about things from a different perspective.
You are a fantastic mother who was born to that role, and I love how you truly enjoy spending time with your kids and raising them to be amazing people.
I have so much fun when we get to spend time together, and I feel so lucky that I get to call you a friend.

Janel is such an inspiration to me on every level. She just 'gets' things. Like...all of them. And she takes the time out of her incredibly busy life of RIGHTING ALL THE WRONGS and PARENTING THE HECK OUT OF ALL THE CHILDREN to talk with me sometimes. And I can't express how much that means to me.

J is an infinite onion. She seems so "normal" when you meet her but the more your friendship goes on, the more you see because she peels herself back effortlessly. Her ability to be deep and insightful yet silly and goofy just blows me away someetimes. I'm jealous of her family because despite the kooky rocks thrown on their path, they skip down the path with joy and love for the whole world. I couldn't imagine my life without this woman. It would be a sad life.
