Since my last entry I've finished my internship, had a family vacation with Joanne and my parents at the beach (in Beaufort where I live),  been home for a week, done wedding planning, gone sailing once, flew to Vegas, drove from Vegas to Beaufort, and started classes.  That's a lot of stuff.

Lynn moved in last Sunday, and it's going very well.  Her dog, Tasha, is very social, so wherever Lynn goes, Tasha will sit right beside her.  If Lynn's not in, Tasha will follow me around.  Lynn's fiance and kids (his kids) are here for the weekend, which is cool.  It's good to finally meet her fiance after hearing so much about him, but I guess ( Read more... )

I have had a friend staying with me for the last few weeks because my roommate for next year had an internship across the country until recently.  Anyhow, I will be relieved when my current visitor moves out and my more-permanent roommate moves in (with her dog).  And I will be even more excited to get to live with Paul in less than a year.  I can' ( Read more... )

I have been in the field nearly every day this week and several days the week before.  Lots of oyster restoration work, monitoring restoration sites, taking water samples, and other neat things that get me away from the computer, outside, and often wet and/or dirty, which is the best part.  I just finished a mini-project that I had been working on ( Read more... )

Not too much to report... Pirates 3 was not so great.  Well, it was ok, but it can't stand on its own as a movie (w/out the other 2).  I still hold that the first one was the absolute best, which is why I have seen it many many more times than most other movies (except Finding Nemo, but they probably both tie for first ( Read more... )
