HAHA, i totally thought that today. but i guess that's reality of mhc. white girls rule, and us ppl of color are just floating around.

p.s. my ex-roomie laurn korn is NOT asian american. she's latina-- pure bred bolivian. everyone thinks she's filipina or something.

i've forgotten a lot about how this type of stuff plays out on campus, but i don't think people of color participate in campus-wide activities very much (sga eboard, senate, class board, all those random committees, cause). so maybe the problem isn't jshow but a broader problem of alienation that students of color feel from campus wide activities.

(and the 'historically white' thing is such crap, you know it, i know it, and most importantly, they know it)

did jshow advertise specifically with orgs of color?

I don't think they did advertise with people of color, and the thing is it's who wanted to take part in it. I don't think people didn't audition for it because they were thinking that oh we'll be the only asians or blacks or blah blah blah i think they probably just did not want to/did not know/did not have time for it.

of course, but there has to be a reason why a disproportionate number of white students are interested in jshow. unless percentage wise, it actually does work out that the people who auditioned represent a certain percentage of theirethnic group (like 8 asians is 2% of asians on campus, 2 blacks is 2% of blacks on campus...etc.)

the first read is supposed to be in the present tense, the second one is supposed to be in the past tense.
