So, after about 10 days from my tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, my throat was still pretty sore, but I could eat real foods at least. Then yesterday I woke up with a mouthful of blood, and I kept having it all days. I was coughing up like chunks of blood = grossness. I got my tonsils and adnoids out today. Quite painful. Although I will say I think the mono was worse - because the sore throat was just as bad, but I couldn't even stand up or lift up my head and my whole body ached. But that's not to say that I feel wonderful now, but whatever ( Read more... )

So I finally got the "all clear" from the doctor that I'm fine. I was lucky, 3 weeks of mono is considered a very short bout with it. That middle week of it was especially bad, I could barely stand, and I couldn't eat anything or talk, but now that feels like forever ago. The subject pretty much says it all. Life sucks a LOT right now... and I can't go to France for my program. I don't know what to do with myself. I feel like shit and I just want to fast forward a month. I've only been sick 8 days... not sure how I wil get through the next 4-6 weeks.
