Good Morning World

Too much to do too little time.

I didn't get to spend anywhere near enough time at Whole Earth Fest. this weekend as I'd have liked. I did get to swing by long enough to order a top to go with the pretty dragon skirt (yay!) and say hi/thanks to the guy I bought my dishes from last year. The silk vendor gave me the same comment about being 'strong' ( Read more... )

Usually pennsic. There's a lot of cheap period(ish) fabrics there.

I think I'd find Davis weather a lot easier to deal with if we had more than a week or two of spring. As it is, I'm quite ready to move back home. Not that they really have spring either, but a day above 85 is rare.

I'm seriously dreading this summer. It scares me more than giving birth (which I suppose isn't saying much, since that doesn't really scare me) or dealing with a newborn and a toddler (which does). I think I'm just going to find a reasonably shaded pool and sit in it 24/7 from June-September.

Not sure I'd prefer the constant rain, though.

I'd like it more if we had the chance of change. You know it rains one day a week or so year round and the rest are variable amounts of heat, cool, partly cloudy, sunnyness, more rain.

None of this rain for 3 months straight then no clouds for another 9. Sigh.

Pool in the shade. I may well join you.

I could deal with the lack of change if it wasn't constantly at one extreme or another. That's coastal Southern California. Growing up there with a temperature range between about 60 and 80 spoiled me for life.

This weekend looks like it's going to be tolerable, and my less reliable weather forecast is even calling for rain on Sunday.
