Lady Gaga Comes Out as Intersex?

Aug 07, 2009 12:44

Pop star sensation Lady Gaga surprised her millions of fans by parading on stage without an underwear showing that she is intersex and has male and female genitalia. This has not yet been confirmed, but the video is certainly interesting.

And here come all the people freaking out being attracted to "him". ....I wonder what kind of freakout they have when a dresses-as-man person comes out as a hermaphrodite/intersexed/etc?

Oh, didn't you know? The penis is the important thing. It totes over-rules that fact that she has a vagina too and identifies as female. *sigh*

The "response" in question seems to have originated from a parody/satire blog. The video is difficult to make out, but here's a picture of her in something that shows pretty well what she's got down there. Looks like perfectly normal labia to me. http://s7icky.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/lady-gaga-g.jpg

This stuff has been circulating for about three months if Google isn't lying to me. I wonder why it's being talked about so much right now?

Because gullible people like queerunity need time to post unsubstantiated rumors on their blogs.

NGL my first reaction is "oh, people are saying she's got a penis because she doesn't conform to societal standards of beauty."

We will, of course, ignore the /b/tard photoshopped into the video, the total lack of mainstream media coverage (if Lady Gaga farts, we hear no end of it, so why are only minor blogs carrying LADY GAGA HAS A WANG?), and the fact that her "alleged reply" originated from an Onion-style satire site.

It's not true.

The quote comes from a satire site making fun of all the nasty rumors that have swirled around Lady Gaga--a woman who is unashamed of her own sexuality becoming a success? God forbid she should be free to pursue her career without constant attack--and is inconsistent with Gaga's typical speech patterns.

I highly, highly recommend reading this post from Idolator and reading the queerspot comments from the first anonymous, yinyang, anonymous at August 8, 1:47 pm, Nox, and Caitlin and thinking very hard about what they have to say ( ... )
