Jane was my riding instructor for 5 or 6 years, until about a year and a half ago when she was diagnosed with liver cancer. She stopped giving lessons because she didn't have the energy because of the treatments. I visited her when I was home on breaks to catch up. She always asked about school because she loved that I was going for horses

My heart goes out to you. I know what it feels like to lose someone so close. I am glad that you were at least able to see her since she was diagnosed. I know nothing hurts more than that regret, but at least her suffering has ended. I am so sorry for your loss.
