I like the background work and filler. It is interesting to see how this story started.

I like this gapfiller chapter. Oh Tyler is a real snake charmer, and we know what Lou'll find out about him later. Poor girl.

One question: Is Boggs really dead? In the show, she claimed her father was dead because that's what her mother wanted her smaller children to believe. I'm just wondering if you've changed that detail here.

Poor Lou, despite Charlotte's warning, she's falling for Tyler's charms...that man is really a snake, even if- right now- he seems genuinely interested in her.

Thanks Mercy! I really hadn't given much thought to Boggs for this story as he doesn't come into play. If he is the same, by the time he went to get the children from the orphanage, they would've been adopted. Yes, it's possibly that he would've still tried to take them from their adopted parents but since I have no plans to have Boggs appear, I would say for this story, he is either dead or stayed astranged from his children.  I'm leaning into having him still have been a gun runner, if it were to come up, but I don't think it will.

Thanks Paola! Yes, Tyler is interested in Lou but disturbing reasons. I am struggling with their courtship as he would not be as aggressive as he was on the show simply because he can figure what Lou just went through with Wicks so he doesn't want to spook her. He wants to woo her and make her his.
