We are right smack in the middle of summer and though I've already made one trip out to California, I still feel like I'm ready for a vacation of sorts. Mainly I've been thinking about beach houses and living on the beach from July to August. I don't see this in my immediate future, but I've already become a little attached to the idea.

I've become rather re-interested in poetry lately. Spoken word poetry to be exact. While flying home from a trip out west, I watched a TED talk featuring a spoken word poet named Sarah Kay. Sitting on the porch watching a summer shower. Nothing cleanses like rain; a big giant bath from heaven. This spring is mostly filled with pollen. Pollen dusted table tops, car tops, carports... I think my lungs are coated with yellow dust. I feel this is unusual.
