Thinking about messing with my hair again. Not cutting it; it's still growing and I want to see how long it can possibly get. Probably some bizarre Manic Panic color experiment. There's a cool billboard near Newport promoting contracteption (planned parenthood) which emphasizes how contraception is as unique as you are. It has a picture of a girl with FUNKY hair.

That is some damn funky hair indeed. I broke myself a little trying to figure out how you'd pull that off.

Mmm. I guess the concept I'm having a hard time with is bleaching. How would you get manic to stick without significant color lift? I like the idea of highlight extensions braided in, but I'm kinda on a 'not grown on my head' kinda kick. I really like the idea of candy striped dreads, but that would probably shread your beautiful hair, even braided in.

They do give a pretty good tint over unbleached hair--it's more subtle and it fades, which are pluses to me.

You with dreads would look AMAZING and I hope you do it sometime. Even if it's just a pair of falls.

I think ombre hair would be cool. you would have to be pretty deliberate though so it didn't look like a mistake. Like I think the purple/pink in this dress would look pretty fabulous in hair. Or blue, really deep blue on the ends.

Some of them stay much better without bleach than others. If you want, you can come watch my insane process some time to get a feel for 'the pro' technique.
