Late April Garden Tour

2020 Vegetable Garden
I'm using a combination of straw bales and containers this year as I did last year. This space on the west side of my shed is about 160 square feet, and it will be packed full. The bales will grow zucchini, Sugar Baby melons, Honey Rock muskmelons, and Blue Lake bush beans - all direct sown after the bales are conditioned around the third week of ( Read more... ) -
Here's what happens...
When you fling a large packet of wildflower seeds onto bare earth, smush them down with the back of a shovel, and keep them moist until they sprout.
Should the four foot tall zinnias be at the back of the bed? Gardeners all over would say yes.
Do I care? Nope...I kinda like letting nature sort all that out...
