Just make the best of things. No matter what happens, make the best of it. Don’t take anything too seriously, and remember that you will always be ok, in fact, you always are ok. Don’t hold grudges. Words of wisdom. I couldn't agree more. Seems the older I have gotten the more I tend to do those things. Another thing I always try to do..while enjoying the ride so to speak..I tend to find joy in things that made me happy as a child..ya know..popsicles, getting a pogo stick for my 34th birthday, hoola hoops. Notice the details and enjoy the little things that are often overlooked..the smell of the ozone after a rain, rolling around in the grass, that sort of thing. I find that it makes me happy. Makes me feel young and alive.

I remember the pogo stick! I was afraid to use it, worried it might break my hip- haha. that's a bittersweet thing. I think you hit the nail on the head about having a childlike enjoyment of the simple things. I don't care how many bills and responsibilities you might have, you can still enjoy a sunset, an ice cream cone, a rainbow, a swing set, a tree full of fireflies.... it's making the best of things. It might take more effort to notice when you grow up and get used to being bogged down in bullshit, but that's all you can do... enjoy what there is to enjoy. If you pay attention, there is a lot to enjoy!

Oh I agree that sometimes people need to be left behind. That doesn't mean you have to hold on to the negative emotions associated with the situation or person, just learn the lesson and move on. Some people hold a grudge against life or something because nothing ever goes thier way, wah wah wah... you ever know somebody like that? It does not make for happy times.
