I saw pictures - I wish I could've come to the beach!! :( I also saw your other post - I'm so stoked that you rode a bike! I hadn't ridden one in about as long, and we bought bikes last month. I look incredibly steady lemme tell ya. Haha.

I WILL I WILL!!! Since we could see so much sky from the beach, we saw several falling stars and it made me think about how I've always wanted to watch a metor shower from the desert. The next one is the Perseid shower in early-mid August, which is supposed to peak on Tuesday morning August 12th after 3am I think. The shower is pretty active for a few days before and after the peak too, so even if we did some late-night viewing the weekend before, after the moon sets (when the waxing gibbeous moon sets a little earlier anyway), we'd still see a whole lot of them! So.. what do you think? I could do like August 8th-12th or 13th. It's a little more expensive then, but not horrible, and it'll be hot as balls, but it will be totally worth it!!

We should go during mid-November when there is a meteor shower and full moon... even though the moon usually interferes with seeing the meteors.

I wasn't planning to, but maybe I will. It's in downtown Decatur, right? I don't have any plans... I was just thinking I'd stay home, read, stay sober, maybe go for a really long walk at the park by the lake alone or something. I'm supposed to go to Nicola's Friday night for my co-worker's multi-purpose celebration (in addition to working here, she and her husband own a personal training company and they have been married 7 years this month, the company has been in business 5 years, and her husband's 31st birthday is this month). I don't really know anyone outside of her family that will be there so she said to bring a guest. You should come and be my guest! I've talked to her about you some because she is starting belly dancing lessons :) Dinner would be free! Let me know if you are interested....
