I am excited about America trying out a more socialist mindset. Obama won the youth vote, those 30 and under, by a 2-to-1 ratio, so clearly, the rising generation wants to take this country in that direction. Once it starts working I won't have as many reasons to move to Europe... damnit!!! Hahaha :)

Some republicans I know keep saying that Obama wants to emulate the socialism of European countries, especially Sweden. But this just came from people I know, I have not heard him say it himself or anything.

from what I understand..socialism works well in those countries because they have fairly small governments and the countries themselves are fairly small. I've heard it said it just wouldn't work the same way or as well in a country as big as ours. Who knows though.

Obama's not nearly as liberal as Republicans have been portraying him. We'll take a turn to the left, but how far will depend more on necessity than anything.
