So, would you like to know what was bothering me back in February?

Well, even if you don't, here it is.

On February 13, my mother's only brother, Mark, suffered a burst aortic aneurysm. He was in severe pain on his way to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. I'm not sure if he lost consciousness on his own or if they put him under, but he never woke. He died in the ICU early in the afternoon of February 14, which ( Read more... )

I'm very sorry to hear about your uncle. I'm also very sorry that I did not wish you a happy birthday. I am not good at remembering dates and usually rely on myspace reminders. I know that is sad... I have been on infrequently and missed quite a few birthdays. I am in no way trying to make any excuses for this. Again, I apologize.

You and your family are in my thoughts.

I've been meaning to say apology accepted. I know that you've been going through a lot lately, so you had a pretty legitimate excuse. Just don't do it again, or I may have to give you the evil eye! lol

Hi Shawn -

What an awful story. :( I'm so sorry about your uncle and how emotional everything was for you and your family.

And I, too, feel badly for being forgetful and not saying happy birthday. While I'm sure it wouldn't have made it any happier, had I remembered, I am sure that the acknowledgement would have been nice. Like Kelle, I'm terrible with these things. Generally, when I AM online, it's for work, and when my shift is finished, I cannot wait to hand the computer off to someone else. At any rate, my apologies, and my sympathy.

I've been meaning to say thanks, apology accepted, and I appreciate that you responded to this post. That means something to me.

Oh, and I'd also like to say that you have good taste in music, as if there was any doubt. :) I recently borrowed Air's Talkie Walkie and Pocket Symphony from the Niagara Falls Library. Really good stuff that was pleasant to listen to without putting me to sleep, though it would probably work for that if I wanted it to. I'm going to ask my father if I can borrow his copy of 10,000 Hz Legend the next time that I'm at my family's house.
