I am often asked why I want to be a teacher. People tell me the pay is not worth it, the hours aren't what you bargain for, 90% of teachers quit after the first three years and it's more stress than anything. Are these valid points? Sure

The job is stressful. You don't get many weekends. The pay is enough for you to live off of, and frequently carries pretty good benefits. And in exchange for all of that, you get to inspire. To make a difference. Whatever happens, no good teacher is indifferent. So, you're probably all set.

And it's good to hear from you too! Careful on catching up with my journal, there's a freakin' ton.. I have actually kept up with what you've posted at your's and have been so happy to watch things blossom between you and Neil! Things happen and we all eventually lose time for livejournal (myself being one of those these past few months), so 'sok. :) And I have been good! Working on finishing up school here in a few months and planning to move to Spokane to be closer to my sister and whatnot there after, really looking forward to it. *glees* Other than that work is work, school is school and life treats me fairly, I can't complain.
