I just got a mail from U of Aberdeen saying that in fact, no matter how much money I have saved or am expected to contribute to college, I should explect to completely Max out my federal loans and have I considered private loans additionally?? On top of it, the dollar is so weak. I'm reconsidering college, which makes me really really sad. The

oh that's awful! and a big problem with studying abroad- you have to pay for it all.

While true, it is also true for the usa also. I'm not eligible for any kind of aid whatsoever. The only difference is that the U.K. study term is much shorter. I just don't have the research or the qualifications to get into a good school in the usa at this point (gre, gpa, etc.)and then also hope to get funding. :-(
