So I'm going to actually try to follow a diet for 2 weeks --- Special K cereal or Special K breakfast bar, clearly for breakfast ----- god knows what for lunch ----- Healthy Choice meal for dinner --- snacks will be either a Special K bar, handful(s) of cashews, or some form of Healthy Choice frozen treat ( Read more... )

It's a lot cheaper to buy yourself ingredients to make healthy meals than it is to buy prepackaged/processed meals.

my main problem is my inability to cook -- which I know shouldn't be an excuse, but a reason for me to learn

Honestly, a great bet would be to get a crock-pot and learn good slow meals. Make yourself tons and eat leftovers, make small meals all the time, buy chicken in bulk and find new ways to cook it. So many really easy/affordable/awesome ways to eat healthily.
