Wow...are they[TPTB] actually going to make a movement in a direction, any direction, and not an embarrassing loop? We'll have to wait until the 2nd half to see if anything changes

Wow. Why am I NOT surprised that they would take out Penny's small part in NCIS….oh that's right because the really writer's couldn't give a rat's ass about taking her career seriously for once. I don't care what anybody says, Leonard's comment about her big break "never going to happen" spoke volumes to me. I too thought the same exact thing that Penny did: the fact that Leonard has little to no faith in her acting career. That comment really did crush her hopes and dreams (and seemed pretty unforgivable IMO), as if she's not already insecure enough about herself than she already is! This guy is more worried about the fact that if she ever does become famous one day then she'll just flat out leave him. How selfish is that? Not to mention how little trust he has in her as a loyal GF. And it looks as if Penny's 'proposal' not only seemed half-hearted and superficial but it also explained that if she has nothing left for herself then her only back up plan is to marry Leonard. That says a lot doesn't it?! I really hate how they've

I'm curious to see the almost kiss scene, obviously. But I'm not going to do my happy dance just yet. In the premier they said Sheldon and Penny would be sharing intimate secrets and Sheldon would be crushed when Leonard returned. Talk about pulling our strings. But if this is a great scene it could be the shot in the arm this ship needs. We have been a little down in the dumps of late.
Maybe you should have done it I had to edit the heading (again) because it's 7.11 and 7.12. :P
Why are they are doing a shenny dream/kiss just before the episode where Penny proposes? Are they being sadistic to shennys? One final stab in our ribs before they make a boring old housewife out of Penny.
Well Leonard got the same kind of proposal from Penny that he gave to her, ie, not serious. She proposes because she was disappointed and sad, not a thought out planned proposal but a "what the hell, I got nothin else' kind of proposal. Not a good thing.
I would be more worried about Shenny if Sheldon was rejecting Penny in Sheldon or Penny's dream. This is Amy's dream. To me, Amy represents the canons, especially the Shamies. She doesn't believe Shenny would happen, yet it is totally on her mind. The canons talk about Shenny quite a bit, more than any other non-canon pairings. I just wonder why Shenny is on Amy's mind.
I don't think the dream is pro-Shenny, but I also don't think it is anti-Shenny either. Depending on how it plays out it could provide material for videos and fanfics, lol.
I'm ngl and say i'm not excited for penny hitting on Sheldon. Idc if it's just a dream sequence after all this is what we shenny fans expected to happen at some point. Wonder why Amy is the one to dream this and how she reacts to it. Can't wait till tomorrow.
Of course Amy dreamed Penny was hitting on Sheldon, of course if it was the old Ames, as long as she got to watch both of them, or maybe join in she'd be a happy camper
I haven't posted in a while, thanks to my student teaching gig, but I'm not gonna lie, these episodes actually sound pretty good, namely because they address some of the big elephants in the room. It IS true that without Sheldon none of them would've met, because it was Sheldon that let Leonard in as his roommate, thus setting off a chain reaction that led to the current nucleus of friends we see now. I like that Sheldon is given his due, even if he is not physically present to hear it. And of course, I'm looking forward to the dreams. Hopefully our Shenny dream isn't cut

"As for that proposal scene, if I was a lenny fan, I wouldn't be happy about it. Penny hit rock bottom and decided that marriage to Leonard was as good as it was going to get. Not complimentary at all. And I'm also intrigued at the downer tag scene. Usually the tag scene is fluffy and superfluous, but in this one we see Leonard grappling with the fact that he turned down Penny and that he's not sure whether he's going to break up with her."
I really hate how Penny takes marriage so lightly, it should be something taken seriously and feel heartfelt about but we just don't get any of that from her. Instead the only time she actually does work up the nerve to ask those four words to him is when she's drunk out of her mind! How low is that? Especially since it feels as if it's a last resort for her when it shouldn't be.
I just don't think Leonard has the guts to break up with Penny since he seems way too afraid of losing her, he most definitely regretted it the last time he did too. He'll still stick by her side no matter how out of

Yes, I thought the way they left the episode was interesting. It looks like maybe they are trying to link some episodes together this season. Of course they could just forget the whole thing next episode.
As far as Leonard not supporting Penny, he doesn't seem to understand her half the time. To try and make someone feel better by being "logical"or pendantic when they are emotional isn't going to work. And his comment was pretty dismissive even if it may have been true- it kind of makes me wonder what other comments he made(reading the report it sounded like she might have left a few out). It was not a good proposal for Lenny. I think it makes it look more like he might break up with her this time. We can only hope the status quo gets shaken up.
The writers are really messing up the romantic ideal of Lenny, their proposals are all half assed and we are supposed to believe these two want to spend the rest of their lives together? Professor Proton was spot on "what do you talk about?" and Raj - "what does she see in Leonard?" There's little signs but do they have the stones to split them up again? They see this as their road to an (unhappy) marriage.

Sorry but it seems as if you were referring to the premiere on the first episode of this season just now LOL!

I thought it was interesting that Amy dreamed about Penny trying to seduce Sheldon. Hum.
