2.  Discover kitchen ceiling is leaking water from upstairs bath - check

3.  Discover kitchen cupboard, counter, and floor is aflood with water - check

4.  Call plumber - check

5.  Call work - check

6.  Shell out $200 for a new shut-off valve - check

I'm very familiar with those joys, alas. But at least it was just the shut-off valve and nothing worse! (That's how I always try to look at it- it could have been worse...) Enjoy the Macallan.

I know. I should be grateful that the toilet didn't fall down into the kitchen sink. That would have been worse.

But thank God for my Macallan....

I remember being SO determined to leave my apartment renting days behind to enjoy the pleasures of owning my own little nest.

To this day it still doesn't feel like home. I know, I know. I suck.
