you gotta start busting out grants. I bet you could get a few thou from some Irish-American blah-blah-blah. Get in touch with department of education as well. they might be interested in it from an "improving deaf ed" point of view.

I'm sure that BOCES or whatever the equivalent out there has summer programs for kids who are deaf or hard of hearing. From what i am used to, they always are looking for people to staff those and being almost certified is a whole lot better than not even close. I know even first year in the sped program and people were offering me teaching jobs because i was interested though not qualified. You'll find something. :-)
