[Alice is, for lack of a better word, absolutely ecstatic with this interesting (and odd, one cannot leave out odd because it follows Alice around like that plague) turn of events. She supposed, in good time, she'd find her way home (as was always the case) and that for now, she'd simply bask in the sunlight, the water, and the shore and enjoy herself immensely.

Un-conventionally (as per the usual), she'd donned a dress today that looked terribly like the patterned bed sheets from the hotel. Alice isn't much on casual clothing, and nor does she much favor corsets. This, however - she could get used to.

Currently, she's bent over Kage's surfboard when he walks over to it, eying it with a mild air of suspicion and curiosity.]

Well now. What's this?

[She is bent over, and while her back is turned Kage lets his gaze flick over her. She's entirely feminine with that unique kind of fearlessness without bravado Kage associates with strong-minded women. ]

Surfboard, girlie.

[Kage finally speaks up when he's close enough that he doesn't have to raise his voice and he bends down to pick up the board.]

[She rights herself, adjusting her 'dress' as she peers at him with renewed interest. She's never been called 'girlie' before in her life, so that's a little tidbit that's filed away for later perusal.]

Surfboard? I've never seen such a thing. How does it work?

You've never-- ahh, you're from Earth, right?

[Kage picks the board up, then thrusts one end into the sand.]

Thought all Earth-iyyah knew all 'bout surfin'. It's easy, girlie, just put this end down on the waves, stand on the side and ride along.

That's an interesting question, sir. I like to think that I am, but these days I'm beginning to wonder if you can ever be truly sure of one's origins. [She eyes the board speculatively.] I like to think I come from two places, one being England and the other being Underland, since I rather have saved the latter.

[Latter. Latter rhymes with Hatter. Her Hatter, that was still in Underland. She sighs.]

You stand on the board on the wave? Don't you fall off?
