Why is called icing or frosting when it's not cold?

I just watched my first ever episode of Due South, and it was good, BUT!

1 I was kind of expecting to see Brendan Fraser :/

2 Constable Benton Fraser RCMP is in fact Captain Carrot of the Ankh-Morpork Night Watch.

Oh shit. I have a nasty and extremely itchy red rash from my head to my toes and no idea as to what might have caused it. I fell into a ditch the other night. I was walking home from the pub and spied a discreet place to have a wee, but I couldn't see where I was in the dark.
