I am neither polish nor historically inclined (ignorant American FTW) but I am intrigued by the idea of some girl living across the street getting pissed by these damned gunmen gallivanting in her (what do British people call an apartment complex??) and singlehandedly whooping some ass... I think I need to write that scene.
Hey, 1 of all - milwaukeemeg, thanks for short history of poland and short dialogues. Not exacly a fill... but thanks. ;-)
2- Of coure Ania is still working for me, it would be stupid to fire a BAMF helper (think of Kato in Green Hornet, guys!). I've doubled salary, so now she speaks more eloquently...:-)
I've shown her the thread, and she says 'czesc, dziekuje, to nie bylo takie trudne' to you all (she says it means 'hello, thanks, it wasn't as hard as it seems').

OT but: What does one do in a staffing situation like that?
On one hand: Has been lying about her competency and qualifications to avoid doing parts of her job she doesn't want to.
On the other hand: Beat the crap out of armed thugs and possibly saved your life.
Nice severance check with an awesome reference and a suggestion she consider working in private security?
Keep on and let her not do her job?
IDEK.
