Hey, prompter whose brain I love. Your prompt is so awesome it's getting a second fill. The first draft of this is done -- I'm editing as I go, and should be posting over the next few days. But have a pre-work opening scene for now! (Also, excuse the cliched title, I just figured I should do something to distinguish it from the other fill

There were a number of things John thought he might wake up to that morning. A sore neck was almost guaranteed; his neck always hurt after sleeping on Sarah's sofa. Maybe also a passive-aggressive text from Sherlock. Or an aggressive-aggressive text. Or, if he was very lucky, maybe no text at all, and he could pretend he hadn’t had a distinctly undignified screaming match with his flatmate in front of the entire Yard. Maybe he could stick around and make Sarah breakfast and take her out, which was all he’d wanted to do in the first place

Thanks! Can I just say you're, like, the best person to write for? Not only was your prompt amazing, but so is all the feedback. You are making this a super fun first kink meme experience for me. ♥

OP
Ah, heck, don't make me blush! I'm just still so happy that people saw so much potential in my prompt. And to have two great fills going for it is just the best!

Moriarty’s smile was genuine as he finished explaining how he had framed John, his eyes positively sparkling. Sherlock wanted to rip them out of their sockets.
I will burn the heart out of you. Was that what the impossible tightness in Sherlock's chest was? He trembled in anger, and couldn’t find the energy to stop

Lestrade sat heavy and tired across the table, hand half covering his face as if he didn’t want to see. The harsh overhead light made him wane and yellow

Yep! Specifically, I'll mostly be updating after work -- so in the evening US EST. Should hopefully have the whole thing post um... Sunday at the latest? (I do have it all written, but some of it needs some major editing still...)

Sherlock woke with a pounding head and a clawing ache in his stomach. (Two days since he last ate, give or take. He’d been out for another half a day, then.) (Definitely drugged.) He wasn’t tied up anymore, though. That was an improvement, but disconcerting. Moriarty wouldn’t untie him unless he was absolutely certain there was nowhere to escape to

John held himself together through the next bit - through calling Harry (answering machine, of course, but who else was there to call?), through being committed to a cell (he didn’t argue with that. Where else would he go?) - with the combined force of his soldier’s will and the nagging conviction that Sherlock was going to suddenly appear, all sweeping coat and sharp limbs, eyes flashing with amusement as he berated the police for their infinite incompetence

This is great! I like the confused thought process you ran through for John when he was told he was under arrest. Seemed very John.

“I found him, John. I - you have no idea what that’s like.”
We're really starting to get everyone's frustration and sadness here... Lestrade, Sherlock, and of course poor John. Good job!
