Sherlock/John, use of safeword anonymous March 11 2012, 03:07:42 UTC

Hard BDSM not necessary, just any situation in which they would conceivably have a safe word. When they have sex, John almost always inevitably uses the safe word to pause things/end things/change directions/tap out in some way. At first Sherlock is worried there's some kind of trauma or he's accidentally doing something wrong, but no, it's just something that John does.
Up to filler as to why, but please no John-whump or concealed past trauma. Not looking for h/c, just looking for John to be an odd sex partner who has this certain quirk that makes Sherlock wonder what the heck is going on.

I just had that "Cacao" safeword episode of Portlandia pop into my head...

Throughout his hiatus, Sherlock has been coming back to London, to check on his friends, gather intel, get supplies, and he always stays at Molly's because he hates asking for more help from his brother than he absolutely has too. (or maybe Mycroft doesn't know he's alive ( ... )

Aw, I love this. I feel like I've seen lots of "Sherlock stays at Molly's" fics but none that get into what it'll be like when things get back to normal. Seconded!

John is a giant. Once upon a time, he fought in a great battle, but all it left him with were nightmares and a limp that has accidentally crushed many houses.

Then one day, he meets a proud yet lonely elf named Sherlock (and tall for an elf, though he fits within the palm of John's hand). And the adventure begins.
