Filling fest: yes or no?

Hey everyone!

A while back, someone suggested having a writing fest, and although we really liked the idea, the meme was a bit too hectic at that time, so we decided to wait. We think now might be a good time, so we’d like to know what you think.

Why prompt post two? Wouldn't it be better to pick the prompt post with the least amount of fills?

If you went with option 2, would we still have the option of looking through the prompts for something we like the look of? Or would we be restricted to only those that are nominated?

If you see a prompt that you like that isn't nominated, you can nominate it and then fill it yourself.

You spelt "filling" wrong in the subject.

I'm up for any kind of fest that encourages fills from the early prompt posts.

Last year's writing challenge included the first five prompt posts. I'd suggest this fest include either prompt posts 5 through 10, or 1 through 10.

Or if people want S2-specific prompts available, also include part 23/24.

Great idea to use older parts from before and after season 2! Thanks for suggesting it :-)

Just as a note: I think the pollcode polls allow people to vote more than once. So...people, please only vote once? =D

Also, any ideas as to how long the fest would last?

That's strange. It wouldn't let me vote more than once when I tested it. Very strange...

We still need to determine how long it would last, but do you have a suggestion?

Well...the last one was for a week, right? Though that was a contest, so I imagine people would just write one or two stories. If this is more for filling as many prompts as possible, maybe two weeks would be a good amount of time?

It was supposed to last for a week, but it was extended to two.

So yeah, I also think two weeks would be good.
