I think I actually had to patch/spackle more wall than not after discovering the mess that was hiding under the wallpaper in the master bathroom. I am not looking forward to sanding it.

My aunt just had some major wallpaper issues while trying to sell her house... she eventually found some textured white paper that was meant to be painted after it is on the walls. It is a whole extra step (wallpaper, then paint) but the walls can start out ugly.

Yeah, I've thought about doing that to cover up the paneling in the family room. But to get enough to cover the space we have, it would be really expensive, plus hiring someone to do it, since we don't have the means to reach up that high.

We have ugly wallpaper in both bathrooms and the kitchen. So not looking forward to the day we stop putting that job off. *sigh*

Good for you!

I got it all sanded down last night, and only found three places where I needed a second pass of joint compound. Then I managed to slip while getting into the shower and pulled the crap out of my shoulder, so now who knows how long it will take to get it all done. But once it's finally finished, I will feel very accomplished.
