After getting no sleep, feeding the child 30 ounces in 13 hours, and watching him watch us eat and pout, I finally broke down and did it. He did amazingly well. He absolutely loved it and was even helping. As soon as DH had the spoon loaded up, Ben had his mouth open waiting for it. Here's the progression:

He is getting so big! YAY Ben!!!

Maybe he can teach Petra something about being open to food. The girl is the hardest and pickiest eater. Everytime I introduce something new, she behaves as though I am feeding her rat poison.

Well this poor kid's been eating nasty formula, so anything's better than that, right?
Now he doesn't want to take a bottle... sooo weird.

True, formula is nasty, but Petra is not really interested in people foods. She'll eat pureed food if it is something familiar and jarred baby food, but does not want "people" food.

Maybe he'll take his formula in a sippy cup?

I had to show these pictures to my mom when I saw them (with the comments and all) but I didn't have time then to comment. How cute is he??!?! Awwwww....

My mother had to spend Sunday evening babysitting for Connor (Lindsay's baby). You would've died laughing listening to my mother. She kept talking about how Connor's one of those "velcro babies" that's velcroed to her tit. lol Honestly, though, I've hardly seen her go 10 minutes without nursing that child! Apparently for the 2 hours my mother had him in the hotel room while Lindsay was at the reception, he cried at the top of his lungs for the full 2 hours because he was hungry. She's never been so happy to give a baby back. lol
