Chickens

I'm now the proud owner of six Ameraucana chicks. When they're grown, the gals will lay light blue eggs. Cool eh?

For my 8th grade science fair project, I had the bright idea of taking the whole "mice running a maze" idea and crossing it with "hatching baby chickens" and seeing if chicks could be trained to run a maze. Mainly, I just wanted to get to have little chicks for a while.

(they can't be taught to run the maze -- they find the heat lamp and then cuddled and napped)

But they were sooooooooo cute! I loved them while I had them, and it turned out one of them was blind.
