It was horribly hot for me. Broke the 1958 record high temperature and hit 115 F on the Saturday. Between that and the over air-conditioned casinos, no wonder I had a cold. The back and forth between hot and cold was killer ( Read more... )

You mean it was even hotter than last year?! Oh my goodness. My father especially was not happy with the heat!

About 5 to 10 degrees hotter than last summer. It hit 115 on the Saturday that we were there.

On a completely unrelated note - are you still keeping up with The Amazing Race? Even if not, you may want to watch the episode that's released (in USA, at least) on Sunday.

Sorry to take so long to answer you. I do still watch Amazing Race but I was so delayed at getting around to it on the PVR that I didn't see last Sunday's episode until last night!

I knew as soon as you asked if I still watched that they'd be heading to Norway and quite possibly to where you worked. It looks like quite a fascinating place.
