Computer surgery completed.

The system drive (an Intel 530 SSD, 1 month past its warranty) was giving "S.M.A.R.T. status bad" warnings, so now it's replaced by a Samsung EVO 860. As a bonus, it seems that Windows Update now works for me again, too - it had stopped working some while ago (35 upgrades, to the tune of 737 MB...).

So we've had snow, and a lot of it - particularly yesterday. Most of it fell over a period of around 10-12 hours yesterday; it was about 60 cm (two feet), but there was force 4-6 (and sometimes more) winds at the same time, so some people have been blocked in by drifts reportedly reaching 3 meters (ten feet ( Read more... )

Does anone know how one can actually get in touch with customer service at amazon.com? Because when I click the "Contact Us" link, I get to a page which says "Contact Us", but has no way of actually contacting them.
