i'm actually pretty sure nothing ever does happen in that book. I found it really strange too.

it's getting weirder and weirder all the time...i don't exactly dislike this novel, but i don't think it's his best.

dennis cooper is just okay, i think...
sometimes he has this whole repetition thing going on that just gets on my nerves.

this is my first lorrie moore novel. incidentally, i picked it out because you and kelly talk about her books a lot. i really liked anagrams and i just checked out 'who will run the frog hospital?'
have you read that one?

who will run the frog hospital? is really good, too. i love everything lorrie moore does - i can't get ENOUGH!

you know what else i think you would really like? it's called the quick and the dead by joy williams. it's one of my favorite books!! i always felt like i was missing something, though because it's one of those books no matter how many times you read it, you catch something new every time.

All bret easton ellis books are the same...once you've read one you've read them all. the only one I like is American Psycho.

I'm trying to get kelly to start something musically with me...it will be strictly black-tie attire material ONLY!

you know, i think ellis's novels are kind of all the same, but i still really really like them. they're just so illicit, i can't resist.
have you read this one, though? it's seriously so fucking weird. there hasn't been one moment in this book that i felt was "reality"

so what kind of instruments are involved in this "black-tie attire material"??

I got half-way through glamorama, but didn't like it and gave it away to someone who would appreciate it...

I'm not sure, but I definetly think an accordian should be involved somehow.
